“METANOIA” FOR LENT AT ST. CLEMENT In St. Mark’s Gospel, the first words that Jesus speaks are, “Repent and believe on the Gospel.” The Greek word for repent is “metanoia.” Metanoia involves a changing of one’s mind and heart, a transformation and conversion of one’s entire being. For Jesus, it is a conversion to become more like Him in every way. “METANOIA” is a 10-part series filmed in the Holy Land, with Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR. Each segment is 30 minutes in length and examines areas of our life where conversion often needs to occur. The first segment is titled, “Who Do You Say That I Am?” which examines our personal understanding of Jesus. We will gather on Monday nights at 6:30 PM in the parish office meeting room, starting this Monday, March 17. We plan to conclude our sessions around 7:30 PM. Contact Bill Manthe for more information at 723-4990. We offered this series a few years ago, and it received two thumbs up. It is an excellent series for Lent and for life!
