Our week to host families with children experiencing homelessness begins next Sunday, January 26. Volunteer sign-up sheets are in the back of church. As of this writing (Monday) there are no families in the program. However, by the time you read this we could have a family, or a family may enter the program this week or during our host week. So we need to be ready. We’d rather call to cancel people, if we do not have a family(ies), than be scrambling to find volunteers on very short notice. Family Promise supports families with kids who are homeless and in need of a safe place to stay, warm meals and people who genuinely care. The upcoming Southwest Wisconsin CEW (Christian Experience Weekend) will be held at Immaculate Conception School in Kieler, WI. The women’s weekend will be February 14-16, 2025. The men’s weekend will be February 21-23, 2025. These weekends begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday and end on Sunday at approximately 4:30 pm. If you want to do something special for yourself, attend a CEW weekend. Application forms are available at www.swwicew.org or in some of the church entrances. Applications will be taken on a first come first serve basis.
